This workshop draws on clinical research, books, and autistic lived experience to build a rich understanding of what burnout looks like, feels like, and support for recovery.


To build an understanding of the progression of burnout and how to support an autistic person through a burnout cycle


  • 3 hours including 5-10 min breaks every hour

  • Understanding what autistic burnout is, and factors that contribute to it
  • How to support a person through autistic burnout
  • The current research on autistic burnout
  • The progression of autistic burnout and beyond

Prior Knowledge:

  • An understanding of the neurodiversity paradigm
  • An understanding of neuro-affirming practice
  • A basic understanding of what autism is
